Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Application Support Analyst will support Carolina CAT’s AS400 ERP system, integrated web and mobile transactional platforms, and related Caterpillar digital applications.
- Provide support for onboarding and offboarding of users and provisioning and deprovisioning of required user access.
- Take ownership of assigned user incidents and requests via CTE ticket system.
- Leverage internal and external resources and 3rd party providers to triage and analyze support cases.
- Escalates issues to application support partners as needed to drive resolution of tickets, including root cause analysis, testing and communication to users.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure requirements and objectives are understood for all incidents and requests.
- Participate in production support meetings with vendors to drive resolution of tickets.
- Work with Operations personnel and external partners to ensure application needs are addressed with the correct sense of urgency.
- Participate in various types of testing activities (break/fix, UAT, integrations, patching, etc.).
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor or Associate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related computer or business field is preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of application support experience or subject matter expertise with transactional ERP systems and/or web-based applications is required. Experience managing incidents and requests in a Support Desk ticket queue is required. Prior working knowledge of service work order management, rental, sales, parts, CRM or other operations platforms is highly desired.
- Experience working individually and in small teams, to define and scope problems and requirements, develop action plans, and successfully execute required activities through completion.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Smartsheet
- Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced, and challenging environment, while providing a high level of customer service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be detail-oriented with the ability to work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision.
