Network Infrastructure Manager

GENERAL FUNCTION:

Responsible for the successful day-to-day operations of our client’s network infrastructure systems for corporate office, power plants, and remote offices. Work closely with both the user community and other technology teams in order ensure the networkinfrastructure needs of the business are satisfied.Serve as leader for the Network Infrastructure team. Responsible for procurement, maintenance and operations of business network infrastructure at Corporate

and plant locations.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide leadership to employees, contractors, and partners who support the day-to-day operations and special projects of the network infrastructure platform in the following activities:

a. Configuration and support for network systems, security systems, and related software.

b. Maintain and configure network routing protocols for LAN and WAN systems

c. Support MPLS, private line, VPN WAN systems, and all telecom services.

d. Manage and maintain core infrastructure systems (DHCP, DNS, SNMP, etc.)

2. Tier 1 and Tier 2 technology support for our client’s network infrastructure systems.

3. Recommend suitable network technology infrastructure additions, upgrades or removal in order to support the short and long term business and IT strategies.

4. Explore requirements from internal stakeholders in order to recommend the most suitable IT

infrastructure solutions to support new projects and technologies.

5. Serve as project manager for technical/network infrastructure projects and be responsible for managingresources and timelines in order to achieve project deliverables.

6. Support network infrastructure assessment/due diligence and integration activities for all acquisitionsand divestitures.

7. Evaluate overall network infrastructure capacity in order to ensure optimal system performance.

8. Identify areas for improvement, develop improvement programs and monitor improvements to increase process efficiency and reduce costs.

9. Manage network infrastructure related spend to ensure that spend levels are at or below assigned budget.

10. Maintain high level of customer service to user community:

a. Meet established service level agreements; and

b. Create mechanism to obtain feedback from users to measure customer satisfaction.

11. Oversee the program to ensure network systems have current firmware and signatures.

12. Provide network support leadership as part of the Incident Response Plan/Process.

13. Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all related network systems and data.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

2. Strong knowledge of the OSI network model

3. Seven or more years of related networking and telephony experience with at least three years in amanagement role in a network infrastructure environment.

4. Extensive experience with the following technologies: Cisco IOS, Palo Alto and Fortigate firewalls,and VOIP.

5. Demonstrated knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching, and in developing and maintainingaccess controls and firewall rules to maximize security.

6. Strong knowledge of the technologies used to support home office and remote locations.

7. Experience with industrial control systems a plus.

8. Demonstrated experience providing infrastructure leadership in developing detailed designs,

solutions and project plans.

9. CCNA/CCNP with three or more years of real-world LAN/WAN network and security experience.

10. Experience with vendor selection, vendor management, contract negotiations desirable.

11. Knowledge of emerging technologies.

12. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

13. Must be able to take initiative and responsibility for projects.

14. Must promote teamwork and collaboration between all departments and locations.
